Photography / Dog photo's
« on: March 29, 2015, 10:01:13 AM »
Dog's are mostly what I shoot anymore, love it! Here's a new photo of my Stormy, a Britt pup I did about a week ago and one of Stormy printed on slate.

Same point as above but different angle.

Photo of Stormy I had done on a piece of slate. I didn't know you could do that until recently. Got two more ordered, my E setter's, waiting on slate.

Dog's are about all I shoot anymore. Recently I got out my old D70 and put a much older Sigma 70-300 lens on it then went out trying to shoot in "M". I normally shoot in "A".

Stormy. He just turned one year here.

My nephew got this over in Africa in July. He and his wife spent two weeks there on a photo safari and did one last year for three weeks. Got some amazing animal photo's. This is a few of his cats. He got a ton of them.

He does an absolutely wonderful job with his Africa photo's.

A friend that's a Wildlife Biologist identified these as juvenile Great Horned Owls. Lady on the other end of town called yesterday morning that they were in a tree at her place.

Whelped on Oct 10th. there's 6 pup's, three left to sell, $500. I would not be getting a pup but the last two I got to judge the parent's of this litter. Sire is owned by a lady near Kent, Wash, her first pointing dog. Wonderful dog. Damn is owned by a guy in Yakima, Wash. Red Delicious Breelie, 2010/12 AFTCA Shooting Dog of the year. Absolutely fabulous parent's! I'm going up Nov. 11th to see the pup's. Will take more photo's if anyone is interested. Link shows a photo of the damn and puppies. Avatar is also photo of the damn. Have to go back when there's clouds in the sky. But this is a lot better than nothing.

Probably not the best but think one of my nephew's or a brother could fix this. Shot into the sun and the side of the bldg went black. So switched to manual and fooled with it until I got the side I wanted. But washed out the sky!

Photography / Cool series of shots last weekend

I was out at the Wirehair trial at Boyce Corrlas near Madras. Guy in the callback to retrieve finished off the Fld Ch on the dog with this retrieve. The guy that handles and own's the dog I found out this morning is 81 yrs old!

Dog on point.

Handler sending the dog to retrieve.

Dog going out on the retrieve.

Dog returning the bird to the handler.

Dog giving the handler the bird.

This was one of the best pieces of dog work I've seen in a long time. Wish the fall had been in range. The dog went straight to it nd snapped the bird off the ground on the fly.
