Life has been super busy as of late, hence the silence on this forum.  My apologies gentlemen.  That said, (and more importantly), I have not been too busy to hunt!  Here are a few recent kills with which I'm able to contribute points.  The first is of a deer I shot this past Saturday in Idaho.  I was alone at the time, so wasn't able to get any great pics, but you can kinda see how steep it was and how he slid down the mountain a ways..  That was a fun pack out straight back up the hill!  Lucky for me he was smaller.  The second pic is of an WY archery kill a few weeks ago.  I had such a BLAST on this group hunt with Dan, Willie, and Andrew (who many of you already know).  I am very grateful for their willingness to take a greenhorn like me along!!  I learned MUCH and really enjoyed the hunt.

Great buck, Mark.   You were hunting a tough area and made it happen on a very good buck.   Tough when you know there are several 150-190" deer within a mile of you, but they are literally not kill able in legal hunting hours.

You did the tag justice.

After a gut-wrenching miss at a nice high country mulie during regular season, I've glad to have punched my WA deer tag on this last chance late season Palouse whitetail, with very limited time to hunt.  461yds was as close as I could get; cross canyon.  I guess that means I'm done with big game for the year.  Bittersweet...

Nice buck! They are hard to get close to huh? Almost the same shot! mine was at 481 and about to go down a canyon and out of sight so I hammered him ... Thanks JJ for the complement and the gun!
