I did some hiking around and am getting into some shape for archery elk.  I don't have my bugle setup ready yet though.  I used the big primos one last year and I'm just too dominant for roseys.  I had more success with a pack bugle so I may go with that this year.  I only have 5 arrows but I only need one the way I figure it.  I probably need to get my bow to you John and pay you a few bucks to get a good new string on my bow.  My bow is hard on strings.  I just don't trust archery shop kids that don't know what they are doing.

All that being said, I'll probably plunk the first cow or bull that crosses my path so I can get off to taking elk photos.   ;D

Hey Shawn I know a guy ho makes really tough strings DBstrings . I cant wait for it to start my back feels good and I need to knock off a few pounds , steady as she goe's . It's sure alot easyier to get up a hill if the elk are on top. i'm a big dude slow and steady lucky for me my knee's have held up well. I've pondered trying my recurve out on elk this year . I figure the hoyt is for the open country kinda like a magnum. good luck guys.
