This is my 2nd buck , the first one I had to take with a gun because I could not pull my bow back. It took me a while to finally pulled my bow back........ BUT I DID IT ! the buck I got is named Polka Dot. He got that name because when we first saw him he had 2 wort's one in each ear so I said " Hey dad! We should name him polka dot!". Dad told me " you cant name a buck polka dot!" So now hes Polka Dot .... I have been watching him for about a year or so. My dad told me if I could pull my bow back to hunting poundage that I could have any buck on the property. So when I finally when I pulled my bow back at 42 pounds I said "Dad I want Polka Dot" , So Polka Dot was mine now all i had to do was get consistent on bulls eyes. So I practiced and practiced. About 5 days before the first we put the broadheads on so I could get consistent. On the first we went up and shot to make sure where I was, and then we wait. MAN it felt like forever. He usually got there around 6 :30 or so. We acted like it was just a normal day . Then he walked in around the time we always did. So I already had my bow ready so all I had to do was get on him . He was 10 yards away. There were about 3 bucks along with him. It was a ten yard shot. I got on him as my dad was telling me the yardage and telling me were on him to shoot. When I got on him he was down eating and I heard my dad say "shoot". I'm getting on him and..... let it fly! LOL. I saw it almost in slow motion. To me it looked like a perfect quartering away heart / lung shot.We then waited while having dinner , then we were off to look for him. We had waited about an hour.  So we followed his blood trail. it was a pretty blood trail. So that made us pretty happy and hoping that it was a good shot. Then out of no where we saw a buck stand up about 80 yards away... no 3 bucks. We didn't have are binoculars so my dad ran down to the house as fast as he could. We watched the bucks until my dad got back. He finally came up the hill binoculars in hand and looked at the 3 buck standing there one of which had an arrow sticking right thought him! My dad told us so we just watched. We hung back until it became dark. We looked for 2 days, 4 experienced hunters and me. We found him the 2nd day , although the coyotes had already gotten to him. My dad and a friend found him around 4:30 300 yards from his last drop of blood and I tagged Polka Dot.
DONT GIVE UP ....... I didn't

Guy's
Thank you so much for the offer, you got me a little choked up.

We are having him mounted at Josh's in Kettle falls, he is doing it at a substantial cut rate. We are doing a bust pedestal, full velvet, open mouth,  eating apples just as he did almost every night. It will also have branches over the top with apples.

We cannot afford much, times are tough all over, but this is the buck of a lifetime and for my daughter I would do just about anything.

Again, Thank you. We are very humbled.

Very good story Miss Hollywood, and again congrats on that awesome buck. Most grown men will never harvest a buck of that quality!

Great buck and thanks for not giving up on that buck.  You gave hunters a good name there.  Congrats Miss Hollywood!   Thanks for sharing it with us.

That offer from Bucklucky is one good offer.  He's a heck of a taxi.  My dad had an elk done with him and it turned out great.  There are some really good guys (and gals) on here!
