2 units for mule deer
« on: December 03, 2011, 06:39:23 PM »
Ok, so I have always been curious about these 2 units for mule deer hunting. Sherman which is 204 I believe, and Selkirk, which is 113 I think. I don't have the regs in front of me so I might be wrong.

I have so many other spots that I scout, that I never took the time to scout those. On paper they seem like better areas to hunt then the ones I do because of no late rut hunts. (alta, entiat) Anybody have any info on them? I would be archery hunting.

Obviously not looking for spots, just observations on mature bucks, and buck to do ratios.

Dirtytough how big of buck do you think you could kill in the first week of washington gov tag?

200+

Not sure why you would need to check these two units out if you can find a 200" buck in a week in the other units. :dunno:

Cause, I think there might be more 200+ bucks in those two units. And it might take me more then a week. Like I mentioned scouting all summer. You never know though, maybe it would only take me a week  :cheesy:

Of the two I would focus on Sherman 101

I think your on the right road, but your would know better than me if you've been scouting them! If you konw where the 200 is then go after them and forget about the rest  :cheesy:

Have heard good things about the Sherman unit. But guys are scared of getting up where the big guys hangout. Not sure on how the deer density is.....

There are big bucks in the 101, as far as a 200+ I don't know.   I would stick to the place I saw 200 rather than switching to an unknown gmu. Good luck!
