I've bought a few pair of sitka gloves, a couple charcoal zip t's, and a KUIU superdown jacket.

What do you think of the Kuiu jacket? That one is on my short list right now but I'm still trying to decide.
What size did you get? I think we're about the same size? (5' 10" 175lbs)

It seems pretty nice.  Super light.  I'm 6' 180 and a large fits excellent.

Should I get medium you think? I always seem to be right in the middle when it comes to sizes  :bash:

This is my new shelter set up.

I love to go to REI and ask quetions that their employees have no interest in answering "so, what size snow show does a 240 lb guy need when he has a 30 lb pack, plus 75 lbs of deer in the pack?"

It gets the best eye rolls.

i don't give rei money, i go there to check out certain gear and then go buy it on line. that company can go to hell as far as I'm concerned, but ill waste there employees time  all they had were crap bags anyway

im looking hard at the montbell ul spiral down hugger. ive read lots of reviews from guys my size that swear by it and say it offers a ton of room. it packs down small and weighs 25oz. sounds like what im looking for. id really like to check one out in person if anyone knows who carries them.

Actionshooter,

Where do you plan to SOAR?  Or, where do you plan to Levitate?  Where ever, it looks like fun and a  great way to get to some otherwise-difficult-to-get-to areas.

Going to do a Alaska float this year. Buying the raft seemed to make more sense than renting it.

Just a float trip or a hunting trip using the raft as a vehicle?  Either way, sounds like fun!

That looks interesting, you will have to post up a review.

Does anyone have any input on the GoLite Imogene UL2 tent?

http://www.golite.com/Imogene-UL2-P47000.aspx

It seems super light for the price.

I have heard good things about Enlightened Equipment.  I am a gear reviewer and I may get the chance to test and review one of their quilts in a couple/few weeks or so.  I will let you know if I end up testing it.

I think I would want a warmer one for those extra chilly fall nights though.
